Managing Accessing and Creating Resources

This unit allows learners to explore a wide range of information/media for use in information, advice and guidance delivery and to develop their own information resources. It also enables then to be familiar with the use of classification systems for use in information advice or guidance practice and to develop their ability to select and present information appropriately for use with clients

This unit has 4 learning outcomes:

• Understand the reasons for managing information resources.
• Understand the range of media which can be used to provide information for clients.
• Understand ways of acquiring, creating and maintaining information resources.
• Know how to comply with Codes of Practice and Principles in relation to managing information resources. (Mapped against Unit 1)
